Superior Fleet Service Inc. is locally owned by Terry and Alice Slayton. Terry is the son of Frank and Joyce Slayton, who founded the company in 1975.
Terry has been active in the company since 1981 and full time from 1989 to present. His various professional development activities include membership in the Texas Association of Emergency Vehicle Technicians for 20 years and volunteer test proctor for the Emergency Vehicle Technician Certification Commission for over 10 years. He is also on the staff of the Southwest EVT Conference in Fort Worth, TX. He has also held various A.S.E. certifications and studied under the technical support directors for Delco Remy, Leece-Neville, and CE Niehoff Co. He holds a B.S. in economics and finance from Arkansas Tech University.
In a day where everything is being driven by chain and big box stores, service and knowledge has been put aside to pursue cheaper prices and higher sales volume. In the end, cheaper prices without proper service and guidance equals higher operating and maintenance cost to equipment operators.
